The most irritating thing about a yoga mat is the fact that it’s quite slippery on the floor and becomes sticky after few weeks. The market is flooded with options in this segment, and you think what could probably go wrong in picking a simple product like a yoga mat. You pick up some random yoga mat and it ends up as a roll in your storeroom after a few days of abuse. After reviewing around 10 mats we have picked top 3 so that you can continue to stay in shape.

What we liked

  1. Doesn’t feel plastic
  2. Really good grip
  3. Good cushioning.
  4. Doesn’t smell like a sheet laden with chemical unlike most of them.
  5. Gives you the feeling of “moist clay “beneath your spine.

What could be better?

  1. Well, all is not well when it comes to the pricing. One of the costliest pick out there
  2. Cleaning this can be tricky as the manufacturer instructs it not be dried in sun after a wash.

2.Strauss Yoga Mat

Well if you think a yoga bag always needs to team up with a bag, this one is for you. 6mm is the magical number when it comes to ease of rolling it up. Rolls up neat and tidy is easy to carry.

What we liked

  1. Durable- We didn’t just limit our self to yoga and exercise in this one. The mat withstood the brutal abuse of twist and turn
  2. Given the price, impressive to note that it didn’t get sticky with time.
  3. Our testing was on vitrified tiles and did give us decent grip.
  4. Stay in shape with multiple rolling and unrolling.

What could be improved?

  1. The bag was didn’t seem to have the same quality like of that mat.
  2. We did find the smell of rubber a little irritating in the initial few days.

3.Paffy Yoga Mat – 6 Mm – Floral Print 

Looking for something that something more than plain cliché yoga mats. This one is probably for you. Comes with a floral design but that’s doesn’t make it any feminine. Pairs up with a good quality Yoga mat bag making it easy to carry around.

What we liked

  1. Perfect thickness, good enough for support at the same time thin enough for smooth rolling.
  2. Good grip, we tried it on vitrified tiles as well on granite flooring.
  3. Fits in snugly in the bag, easy and tidy to carry around.
  4. The foam used is of high quality and doesn’t make the squeaky sound which is found in foam yoga mats

What could be improved?

  1. If you are tall and heavy built, the size may not suit you
  2. As the material used if foam you may consider keeping it away from sharp objects(nail)
